We cannot do a full leak detection if the pool is dirty and not filled to a normal water level.
- Make sure the pool is filled to a normal level. To find structural leaks in pool such as leaks in skimmer buckets, lights, or the pool shell we must dye test. We are looking for dye to get pulled into a void, crack or light conduit. We can only dye test when there is water pressure on the leak.
- Make sure the pool is clean and chlorinated. To perform a full leak detection, we need to dive the pool to check drains and lights in most cases. We cannot do this if the water is dirty or green. Our techs dive several pools a week and they will not get in a pool that is dirty or has algae on the walls.
- Make sure your pool cover is off. To perform a leak detection we need access to the pool skimmers, wall fittings, drains and lights and may have to dive the pool. We cannot do a leak detection on a pool that has a cover on it.
